The day today / A mai nap

Well, let's see.

155 rockers have been fired from Gaza to Israel in the last 36 hours. CNN and other MSM are blaming Israel for finally fighting back. I also read a headline that said, Are IDF soldiers trained to fight child soldiers? And really, rockets are fired from hospitals and civilian areas, human shields are used. And when you are a 30-year-old IDF soldier and Hamas is sending 8-year-olds with machine guns, then what do you do?

Also, media are flooded with photos of alleged "victims" of Israeli air strikes in Gaza that turn out to be photos from Syria and Iraq. Good one.

President Obama continues to amuse (is that the term I am looking for?) with his antics as the most incompetent, narcissistic, masculinely-challenged technocrat/insecure dictator, calling everybody racist, bypassing Congress, and pushing the phase of the agenda that has been handed down to him from over his head and what in fact he has been selected and placed into the presidency to accomplish. It is highly accelerated. They are getting really outright with eradicating the US-Mexico border, what with illegal immigrants now not only being invited  but actually shipped into inland United States. Border patrol and fences are all but a joke, and states' (e. g. Texas) bringing decisions to independently secure their borders are being prevented and punished. Serious disease epidemics brought in by the illegals is threatening public health, and health care officials on the ground are threating with jail in case speaking out about this.

In the meantime, Obama continues to oppose Israel and side with terrorists, pushing abortion and the general moral gutting of the public.

Costco has reversed its decision of pulling Danish D'Souza's book “America: Imagine a World Without Her” from the shelves. Apparently, Costco had decided to pull this patriotic/conservative narrative a few days ago in an attempt to be cool and comply with progressive/liberal agenda. Obviously, it turned out a woeful financial decision what with the widespread outcry of Costco's massive Conservative members' patronage. So now they want Conservatives' money over liberals' empty and patronizing applause after all, they've decided.

The movie based on the book, America The Movie, has been doing well at the box office since its July 4 debut, apparently.

I continue to not know (or care very much) what The Game of Thrones is – although not knowing anything about it I have nothing against it. All I know is that it is all over the media.

I continue to think that Bron - Broen - The Bridge is still the best TV show I have EVER seen and I continue to recommend both seasons. It is so good that even thinking about it during the day sometimes takes my breath away.

Comedy Central (Hungary) still kinda sucks (running here in the background), although our home-grown A három kismalac comedy musical trio is VERY, VERY good and funny, as are Hajdu Gergely and Hajós András.

King of Queens, How I Met Your Mother and My Wife and Kids continue annoy, in this order of insufferableness.

I've been re-watching Andrew Haigh's Weekend (2011), the X-Men movies, The Hangover movies and The IT Crowd.

New restaurants and eateries and cafés and bars and stores and clubs continue to open in Budapest (now they're all downtown is full of) one trendier and cooler than the other. The City continues to be one the top 10 most beautiful in the world, with endlessly beautiful things to see, cool things to do and the coolest people in Europe.
